We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Imaging Clerk to join our team at Vancouver Coastal Health. As a Medical Imaging Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient registration and check-in, making appointment reminder calls to patients, and relaying pre-test preparation information to patients.
- Assist technologists with positioning and lifting patients as directed, and escort patients to and from exam rooms.
- Monitor and replenish department inventories, ensuring core supply levels are maintained, and perform cleaning and tidying functions of the area.
- Act as a receptionist to support the delivery of patient care, ensuring patient/family needs are met above all other concerns.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Grade 12 plus two (2) years of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
