KIT Recruitment is excited to announce a new opportunity for a skilled Grain Buyer to join our client's team in Mississauga. As a leading Import/Export Company, our client buys and markets soybeans, dry beans, and inedible beans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and purchase grain such as lentils, peas, chickpeas, and other crops to continually increase market share.
  • Manage purchasing contracts related to the procurement strategy.
  • Keep daily records on grain received, prices paid, amount purchased, and amount in storage.
  • Purchase correct grades of grains for domestic contracts and exports.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to stipulated destinations.
  • Provide weekly crop progress and harvest reports, as well as market trends.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Ag-Business or other formal training.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the grain industry with solid contacts.
  • Proven track record of building strong Farmer and Grain Elevators relations.
  • Proficiency in grain purchasing and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high-quality customer-service orientation.
