Job Description

This leadership role will drive the development and enhancement of Paladin Security Group's security initiatives across all contracts in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

You will be tasked with formulating and coordinating strategies for the implementation of our operations and security programs, as well as enhancing the capabilities of Paladin personnel to effectively address security and life safety emergencies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in establishing both short- and long-term objectives that align with the goals, policies, and vision of Paladin Security Group.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and assess the security programs for Paladin's contracts.
  • Manage and allocate the necessary resources to fulfill all contractual obligations.
  • Address staff and client concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients within the portfolio.
  • Conduct interviews to support Human Resources in ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet contractual commitments.
  • Ensure comprehensive site training and employee orientation programs are established at all locations.
  • Regularly engage with clients and staff at assigned sites to ensure mutual needs are met.
  • Oversee accounts receivable for clients in the portfolio and assist accounting as necessary to keep accounts current.
  • Review daily and nightly reports, including Incident Reports, and take appropriate actions based on findings related to the portfolio.
  • Ensure the overall coordination of Paladin contract security plans by developing and maintaining security programs, facility plans, and related documentation; coordinating and evaluating security and fire safety system testing; ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements; and providing guidance to relevant committees within Paladin's healthcare contracts.
  • Support broader Paladin initiatives by delivering educational sessions on security matters as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of management experience in employee and client services is essential.
  • A graduate degree in Business or Health Care Administration or a related field, along with specialized training in protection services or criminology, is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory or managerial experience in security and/or fire safety services.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and provincial/national standards regarding fire safety, building codes, security, and privacy protection.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to draft and present proposals to large organizations.
  • Interest in social engagement to cultivate client relationships and enhance service provider connections.
  • Innovative mindset to identify and implement improved methods for success.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • High level of professionalism and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Availability for usual business hours, with flexibility for after-hours and weekend work.

  • Must possess a reliable vehicle.
  • A Class G Driver's License is required.
  • Experience with Paladin's Mobile Division is advantageous.
