Executive Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team at The National Council of Indigenous Midwives (NCIM). As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in advancing the promotion and access to culturally safe sexual and reproductive health services for Indigenous families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve our organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee the development and implementation of fundraising and communications strategies to support our mission
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, community members, and government agencies to advance equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility
- Lead a high-performing team in a geographically spread work environment and ensure effective performance management processes
- Prior experience in a leadership capacity in an Indigenous-led and/or focused not-for-profit/organization
- Strong knowledge of cultural safety, trauma-informed approaches, and Indigenous worldviews
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of constituency groups
- A competitive salary range of $100,000-$120,000 based on a 5-day work week (35 hours per week)
- Extended health benefits and a matching 2% Group RRSP plan
- A remote work environment with occasional travel required
