Job Title: Elementary School Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our team at J. Addison School.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and document students' progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction.
  • Participate in staff meetings to collaborate with colleagues and stay informed about school-wide initiatives.
  • Provide tutoring assistance to students who require additional support, helping them to catch up with their peers.
  • Assign and correct homework, ensuring that students understand the material and are meeting the learning objectives.
  • Develop course content that aligns with the approved curriculum, incorporating engaging and interactive teaching methods.
  • Identify children's individual learning needs, adapting instruction to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Lead students in activities that promote their physical, mental, and social development, preparing them for success in school and beyond.
  • Prepare and implement remedial programs for students who require extra help, providing targeted support to help them succeed.
  • Prepare subject material for presentation, using a variety of teaching methods to engage our students and promote learning.
  • Prepare, administer, and correct tests, using the results to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Teach students using lessons, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and field trips, creating a rich and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
  • Dependability, excellent oral and written communication skills, initiative, interpersonal awareness, and organized.
