Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will play a pivotal role in our production facility, ensuring that all maintenance operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. This position requires a proactive leader who can inspire and manage a team while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safe work practices and address any safety concerns promptly. Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate orientation and training for team members to enhance workforce efficiency. Oversee formal training processes and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities align with food safety standards, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  • Lead the maintenance team in executing preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment. Utilize maintenance planning and work order systems to schedule tasks effectively.
  • Drive team performance to meet or exceed operational targets, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Utilize data and information tools to identify opportunities for improving production efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for significant deviations from performance targets and implement necessary improvements.
  • Manage maintenance deliverables related to the planning, assessment, installation, and testing of new equipment and processes.
  • Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration with all team members.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on performance and manage attendance records effectively.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for all shifts, including weekends, in a continuous operation environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, preferably within the food sector.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Possession of a Millwright or Electrician license is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is required; a college or university degree is an asset.
