Position Overview

The Verification Systems Engineering Expert will play a pivotal role in the formulation and execution of essential system validation and verification strategies, contributing to the overarching Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) framework for the Telesat LEO constellation Network.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to devise and implement comprehensive system verification plans.
  • Support the development and execution of verification strategies, particularly during the Satellite In-orbit Test (IOT) and Constellation System Acceptance phases.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of verification matrices aligned with the Lightspeed system requirements.
  • Coordinate and engage in various hardware and software verification processes.
  • Facilitate networking verification tasks to ensure effective communication across different hardware and software segments.
  • Contribute to the development of software tools and frameworks aimed at enhancing product quality and verification methodologies.
  • Participate in design and test reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve quality and compliance with standards.
  • Maintain configuration control data for all verification activities.
  • Work collaboratively with segment teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues identified during verification tests.
  • Support the integration of hardware and software components into the final system verification process.
  • Document verification processes and development tasks clearly and systematically.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Foundational knowledge of system engineering verification concepts.
  • Experience in hardware or software development, particularly in complex Aerospace/Space or Telecommunication Network systems.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes related to verification and non-conformance management.
  • Strong analytical skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Experience with coding languages such as C++ and Python for embedded software applications.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible work environment, including options for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Occasional travel may be required.
