Medical Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team at the Government of Northwest Territories. As an Internal Medicine Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field, such as medicine or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Work Setting: This is a staff position at a hospital, and we are willing to relocate the successful candidate. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
- Tasks: As an Internal Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for prescribing medication and treatment, acting as consultants to other physicians, and performing other related tasks.
- Supervision: You will be supervising 1 to 2 people in your team.
- Certifications and Licenses: You must hold the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
- Specialization: You will be specializing in clinical medicine, with a focus on internal medicine.
- Security and Safety: You will be required to undergo a criminal record check.
- Screening Questions: You will be asked a series of screening questions, including whether you are currently legally able to work in Canada, whether you are willing to relocate, and whether you have the required certifications.
