Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Management Manager and their team are responsible for overseeing cybersecurity controls, risk methodologies, and compliance standards at AIM. This role involves the assessment, design, and implementation of operational best practices to enhance service delivery and efficiency. Key responsibilities include analyzing workflow data, processes, and reports to evaluate current operational practices:
Reporting to the Senior Director of IT and Cybersecurity, the Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Management Manager will:
- Ensure ongoing enhancement and adoption of the information security governance framework;
- Manage cybersecurity risk methodologies and registries;
- Oversee the vitality of the governance framework: policies, standards, procedures, etc.;
- Participate in project initiation to identify and communicate security issues for compliance and risk management;
- Provide regular proactive reporting to the CISO and maintain key performance indicators;
- Lead and coordinate projects and activities related to process quality and efficiency to uphold best practices and quality improvement in all IT areas;
- Manage incident and major problem processes and cycles;
- Lead the Change Advisory Board (CAB);
- Develop/update documentation for policies, standards, procedures, processes, work instructions, and other tools to support execution;
- Collaborate cross-functionally in evaluating and improving the full process lifecycle;
- Manage team members' development, goals, training, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance;
- Minimum 5 years leading process analysis and redesign initiatives using Lean methodology;
- Proven experience in leading teams in process analysis and redesign initiatives;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights and present projects to management for evaluation;
- Ability to present complex processes in understandable terms to various stakeholders for approval and priority setting;
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects, large and small, with concurrent deadlines, and report progress to management;
- Considerable skills in process improvement, business transformation, customer service, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and team-building;
- Experience applying security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, COBIT), laws, and standards (e.g., NIST, GDPR, Law25);
- Ability to work independently on deliverables and report progress and results to management for approval;
- Lean and cybersecurity certification is an asset.
