The Cybersecurity and Governance Risk Manager, along with their team, is tasked with overseeing the cybersecurity controls, methodologies, and risk assessments, ensuring adherence to the standards upheld by American Iron and Metal. This role involves evaluating, designing, and implementing best practices in business processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. The manager will scrutinize workflows, processes, and reporting metrics to gauge the effectiveness of existing business operations.
Reporting Structure
The Cybersecurity and GRC Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of IT and Cybersecurity and will be responsible for the following:
- Facilitating ongoing enhancements and the adoption of the information security governance framework.
- Overseeing the cybersecurity methodology and maintaining the risk register.
- Ensuring the robustness of the governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
- Engaging in the initial stages of projects to identify and communicate security concerns, thereby promoting compliance with standards and effective risk management.
- Conducting regular and proactive reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) while maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business.
- Leading and coordinating initiatives related to process quality and efficiency to guarantee the continuity of best practices and quality enhancements across all IT domains (Operations, Applications, and Project Management Office).
- Managing the processes and cycles associated with major incidents and issues.
- Overseeing the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Developing and updating documentation for policies, standards, procedures, processes, work instructions, and other tools to support execution.
- Collaborating across departments to assess and enhance the entire process lifecycle.
- Guiding team member development, including setting goals and training initiatives.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
- At least 5 years of experience leading initiatives in process analysis and redesign utilizing Lean methodology.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams on process analysis and redesign efforts.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to convert data into actionable insights and present projects for management evaluation and prioritization.
- Ability to articulate complex processes in straightforward terms to various cross-functional stakeholders to secure their approval and establish priorities.
- Proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple projects, both large and small, with competing deadlines, while providing updates to management.
- Significant expertise in process improvement, business transformation, customer service, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and team building.
- Experience with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, COBIT), laws, and standards (e.g., NIST, GDPR, Law25).
- Capability to work on deliverable projects with minimal supervision and present progress and outcomes to the Director for approval.
- Lean certification and cybersecurity knowledge are advantageous.
