Job Title: Collection Representative

At DPC Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P., we're committed to excellence and care in everything we do. As a Collection Representative, you'll play a vital role in our team, responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts receivable and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding invoices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the collection process for a given portfolio, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of payment discrepancies.
  • Perform weekly analysis of payment agreements and investigate all outstanding invoices and deductions.
  • Resolve payment discrepancies within the required time frame, maintaining strong relationships with customers.
  • Document daily activities in our system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ensure compliance with credit limits and manage pending orders, minimizing potential risks.
  • Initiate and respond to external and internal customer account inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare requests for deferrals, write-offs, and credit notes, maintaining financial accuracy.
  • Apply and comply with existing policies and procedures, upholding our company's standards.
  • Prepare all documentation relating to deductions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or technical diploma in accounting or equivalent, with a strong foundation in financial principles.
  • 5 years of experience in a credit/commercial collection (B2B) environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • English speaking and writing is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers via email and telephone.
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite, with proficiency in Maestro (asset) a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills, with the ability to solve problems and adapt to changing situations.
