Job Summary

RT Medical is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide mobility support and assist with transfers.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding, if needed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and health status.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
  • Assist with medication reminders under supervision.
  • Report any changes in residents' health or behavior to healthcare professionals.
  • Act upon delegated tasks as required within your scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel, and reach, ability to lift 50lbs (23 kg) independently, ability to assist clients with standing, walking, and sitting, ability to reposition clients in bed.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
  • Updated immunization records, including completion of a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon hire.
  • Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner.
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to use phone applications.
