Job Title: Janitorial Site Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Site Supervisor to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our site facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of industrial janitors and floor professionals to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks, including trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, classrooms, and production areas.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming floors, buffing floors, stripping and waxing floors, stone care, carpet cleaning, and upholstery cleaning.
  • Coach and train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure all health and safety processes are completed and compliant.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources to ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years residency in Canada for clearance purposes.
  • Proven experience in floor care, including scrubbing, buffing, and polishing floors.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for 3 to 8 hours per shift.
  • A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
  • Basic computer skills.
