We are seeking a highly skilled Mold Fabricator to join our team at NextGen Mold Technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build plastic injection molds of various sizes, including prototypes, to meet customer requirements.
- Develop a thorough understanding of hydraulic systems, manifolds, welding, and spotting techniques.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency in mold fabrication.
- Ensure that outputs meet production schedules, safety, and quality standards, as well as customer needs.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times.
- Follow established manufacturing and processing procedures, set equipment controls, and perform production and inspection processes.
- Keep the work area clean and free from debris between tasks and at the end of the day.
- Resolve work-related problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety.
- Assemble parts and components using hand and power tools and equipment.
- Cut, drill, sand, or plane materials for a snug fit.
- Grind, scrape, sand, or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Prioritize and manage conflicting demands, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor.
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Mold Fabricator in a plastic injection manufacturing facility.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade.
- Use of required PPE.
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment.
- Extended periods of standing and other physically demanding conditions.
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50 lbs.
