Roles and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operational costs and various data metrics.
  • Demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff.
  • Oversee the activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and kitchen personnel.
  • Create and develop new recipes.
  • Instruct kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty dishes for events.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare meals for regular service and special functions.
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate equipment purchases and maintenance.
  • Consult with clients regarding event catering and menu planning.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities across multiple locations.
  • Design menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences.
  • Prepare dishes accommodating food allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Recruit and train kitchen staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 1 to 2 individuals.
