We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Rychiger Canada Inc. in Toronto. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-end automation systems, packaging equipment, and robotic cells from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review client specifications and drawings to assess project requirements.
  • Create detailed mechanical drawings and outline testing procedures using software.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety requirements throughout the design process and specify safety guidelines for clients.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Head of Engineering, and team to determine the most efficient and cost-effective method to construct the product.
  • Work closely with the Electrical Engineering Team to capture all electrical components of the project.
  • Meet project roadmaps and milestones to deliver the project to clients within agreed-upon deadlines and communicate openly with the Project Manager regarding concerns.
  • Research and identify suitable materials for construction and provide bill of materials (BOM) to the Head of Engineering for approval.
  • Draft pneumatic schematics drawings to capture all elements and material requirements.
  • Communicate assembly instructions to the Technician Team and provide clarification as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production and testing issues related to product functionality and material.
  • Support the Sales Team by providing drawings for sales meetings with clients.
  • Visit client sites to assess project requirements or commission equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in mechanical design, CAD software, or related areas are beneficial.
  • Three to five years of experience in a similar position and industry.
  • Demonstrated experience using Office Suite and Electrical Design Software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, design principles, and codes.
  • Experience in developing and designing packaging machinery, robotic-based automation cells, and conveyor systems is an asset.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to quality, accuracy, and detail-oriented.
  • A proven ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with others and demonstrated experience as a team player.
  • Able to travel to client sites as needed.
