About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at VAL'S BBQ INC. as a key member of our kitchen operations. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of our dishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes to the highest standards
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Order supplies and equipment to support kitchen operations
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a high level of hygiene
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure a seamless dining experience
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet the demands of our busy restaurant
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and ability to work overtime as required
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
