Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert project accounting and financial management services.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow development.
  • Review and understand detailed contracts and apply terms to accounting.
  • Identify and report project variances to management.
  • Facilitate cost review meetings and prepare monthly reporting packages.
  • Maintain and track change orders and claims log.
  • Monitor project accounting systems for proper reporting, security, and control.
  • Support Project Director/Project Manager in project financial management and divisional reporting.
  • Work with subcontractors and operate in a multifunctional environment.
  • Track labor productivity and provide commodity reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong project accounting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience leading project accounting for construction projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards considered an asset.
  • Confident communicator and team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
