Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, your role will encompass:

  • Preparing, seasoning, and cooking meals efficiently
  • Adhering to dietary restrictions as needed
  • Operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Keeping accurate inventory of food supplies
  • Storing food items at proper temperatures
  • Rotating stock in accordance with established protocols
  • Restocking kitchen supplies for upcoming shifts
  • Following recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Overseeing daily kitchen operations
  • Maintaining records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Complying with all sanitation and food production regulations
  • Contributing to a team environment that embodies our core values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about a career in the Food Service Industry and possess:

  • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant is an asset
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
  • Strong understanding of food handling procedures
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A solid work ethic
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Commitment to a safe working environment
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days and evenings
  • This position is primarily based at the Highwayman Pub, with potential travel to other locations as required.
