About the role:

The Laundry Service Specialist plays a crucial role within the Laundry & Valet Team, collectively responsible for the careful maintenance of all linens utilized throughout the establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

The Laundry Service Specialist operates sorting and drying equipment, ensuring the correct sorting and drying of all laundered linens. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities related to folding, pressing, and preparing linens for use within the hotel. Familiarity with the various sizes and classifications of linens is essential, as is the responsibility to inform the Housekeeping Manager of any torn or damaged items.

Qualifications:

We seek individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively is crucial for success in this position. Proficiency in using all laundry and pressing equipment to meet Four Seasons standards is required. Candidates must be comfortable operating industrial-sized washing and drying machines and demonstrate a willingness to learn their operation. This position is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift at least 50lbs and perform repetitive motions. Safe handling of cleaning chemicals is also necessary. Strong communication skills are essential as the Laundry Service Specialist interacts closely with the entire Laundry/Valet team.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of prior experience in Housekeeping or Laundry Valet within a fast-paced hotel environment
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language
  • Knowledge of an additional language is a definite advantage for career advancement

Schedule & Hours:
