We are seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to oversee our Apollo initiative. Apollo encompasses a suite of services designed to streamline the software release cycle for various teams within Amazon, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and predictability.

The Apollo initiative is transforming the software deployment landscape at Amazon by utilizing container technologies and integrating with native AWS offerings.

As a leader within the Apollo initiative, you will be responsible for advancing Amazon's software abstractions, simplifying service creation and management for engineering teams.

If you meet the qualifications outlined below, we invite you to contribute to the development of a world-class continuous deployment and fleet management system.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams
  • 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience in system architecture
  • 8+ years of experience in leading web services development
  • Familiarity with engineering methodologies and best practices
  • Experience collaborating with product or program management teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with users and senior management
  • Experience in recruiting and leading software engineering teams
