Job Title: Spiritual Health Practitioner

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Health Practitioner to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Spiritual Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff.

Job Summary:

The Spiritual Health Practitioner will work collaboratively with the interprofessional healthcare team to assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff. This will involve providing spiritual care and support, facilitating spiritual assessments, and developing and implementing spiritual care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and staff
  • Assess and respond to the spiritual needs of patients, families, and staff
  • Develop and implement spiritual care plans
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and staff on spiritual care and wellness
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g. theology, divinity, counseling)
  • Experience in spiritual care and support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the interprofessional healthcare team
  • Knowledge of spiritual care and wellness principles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in spiritual care and support
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of cultural and spiritual diversity
