Job Title: Work Management System Solution Architect

At BQ INTERNATIONAL LTD., we are seeking a highly skilled Work Management System Solution Architect to join our Business Applications Solutions & Architecture team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing IT solutions to business problems, including systems, applications, infrastructure, and processes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of systems, architectures, systems management, networking, network computing, and application design techniques. You will be able to identify, evaluate, and select the elements of the solution that best meet the business needs of our organization.

As a Solution Architect, you will be engaged in enterprise design and/or development, transforming client requirements and process models into plans, process IT solutions, and hardware, software, network, and data specifications. You will also lead solution evaluation and assume a technical leadership role as part of the core team on Business Applications projects.

We are looking for a candidate with strong personal business, industry, and project management skills, as well as experience in technical planning, build vs. buy, and solution RFP documents. You will also oversee the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions and work with project teams to develop conceptual architecture designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing non-functional and technical specifications for solution RFP documents
  • Overseeing the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions
  • Working with project teams to develop conceptual architecture designs
  • Leading solution evaluation and assuming a technical leadership role as part of the core team on Business Applications projects

We require a candidate with at least two (2) significant/large scale IT projects in a Solution Architect role, from start to finish, as part of a project team. Experience with RESTFul API Integration techniques and tools, Oracle Service Bus, and Oracle Custom Care and Billing is highly desirable.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a combination of education and years of experience or equivalent at BQ INTERNATIONAL LTD.'s sole discretion. North American job experience is considered an asset for this proposal.

Contract Duration: The Contract will be effective for an initial term commencing on award date and ending on March 31, after which, BQ INTERNATIONAL LTD. will evaluate its ongoing requirements and may have the option to renew the Contract for successive one (1) year terms, a maximum of four (4) times.
