Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Department in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting, financial support to other departments, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Financial support to other departments, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Revenue projections and financial modeling.
  • Review of accounts payable payments.
  • Processing of GST/HST/QST filings.
  • Preparation of budgets and financial plans.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation or in final stages nearing completion.
  • Degree or diploma in finance or accounting.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel and accounting software.
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
