Senior Financial Analyst

As a key member of the Business Advisory Services (BAS) team at Alberta Health Services, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in providing financial support to staff and monitoring departmental budgets. This is a 1-year temporary position that offers the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in the province.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide financial customer support to staff and maintain departmental budgets
- Perform detailed variance analysis and assist with external reporting requirements
- Coordinate and prepare complex financial and statistical analysis and reports
- Provide interpretation of analyses and reports to support business and external requirements
- Coach and guide other department staff, including Financial Analysts
- Post-secondary degree specializing in accounting or a related field (e.g. economics, statistics)
- Working towards or completion of a professional accounting/finance designation (CPA) or MBA
- Financial experience in a Health Care environment
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion applications
- Experience providing financial advice to leadership positions
