Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third Engineer to join our team at McKeil Marine Limited. As a key member of our marine operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our vessel's machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report to the Chief Engineer and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all vessel machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime and ensure the efficient functioning of the vessel.
  • Monitor and manage bunkers, lubricants, and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and class requirements.
  • Review and sign off the Engine Room Logbook and maintain the Plan Maintenance System.
  • Collaborate with the crew to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Fourth-Class Motor Engineer Certificate issued by Transport Canada.
  • Marine Emergency Duties (MED's) STCW Basic Safety and Survival Craft Certifications.
  • Transport Canada Marine Medical.
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (ISO & ISM).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-starter, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
