About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Designer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As an Electrical Designer, you will play a key role in designing substations and collector systems for renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high- and medium-voltage substations;
- Design medium-voltage collector systems;
- Actively participate in computer-aided design of plans (2D and 3D);
- Participate in project conceptual studies;
- Prepare lists of materials, cables and specifications under the supervision of an engineer;
- Perform design calculations;
- Perform technical information surveys;
- Monitor contractors on site;
- Help commission and troubleshoot systems;
- Help with the technical management of small and medium scale projects.
Requirements
- Diploma of vocational studies in Building or Industrial Design or a diploma of college studies in Mechanical, Architectural or Electrical Engineering;
- At least five years of experience as a 2D and 3D designer;
- Proficient with AutoCAD;
- ASP Construction card;
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Project and Excel);
- Available to travel to client sites and offices;
- Asset: Bilingual (English and French).
