The ideal candidate will possess the ability to close deals swiftly while also managing strategic opportunities independently. This position operates as an individual contributor under the guidance of the Sales Manager for the Public Sector.

The Sales Executive will serve as a client liaison, focusing on specific verticals within the public sector, including Core Government, Education, and Healthcare. A comprehensive understanding of Ricoh's extensive service offerings is essential, enabling the candidate to effectively communicate how these solutions support the modernization initiatives of public sector clients. The ultimate responsibility for strategic direction, growth, and outcomes will rest with the Sales Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, nurture, and secure new business opportunities while managing existing client relationships to ensure renewals and retention within the public sector.
  • Evaluate sales prospects based on Ricoh's established sales methodologies and criteria, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Develop strategic account plans tailored to each target client.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal resources, including Senior Managers, Solution Architects, and Subject Matter Experts, to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Oversee all sales activities and maintain forecast accuracy through effective use of sales tools, achieving key performance indicators.
  • Create and present customized sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Analyze challenges and opportunities within the public sector vertical, correlating these insights with Ricoh's service offerings.
  • Drive profitable growth in assigned accounts through meaningful customer interactions, contract renewals, and the introduction of new solutions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships within client organizations to facilitate account retention and growth.
  • Independently manage customer engagements and meetings, leveraging expertise to propose and close sales.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in public sector sales within a quota-driven role, preferably in IT or a consultative sales environment involving Services, Software, and SaaS solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in public sector sales, successfully closing new business in Services, Software, and SaaS.
  • Established network and relationships within the British Columbia Public Sector and First Nation Communities.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in previous roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications.

Skills:

  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong reporting and forecasting capabilities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences effectively.
  • Strong sales acumen combined with analytical, organizational, and communication skills, essential for a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities, focusing on building lasting relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrated integrity and leadership in software and professional services sales.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.
  • Capability to assess customer environments and devise strategies for service expansion.
  • Adept at recognizing market trends through data analysis.
  • Commitment to staying informed about current technologies and trends in the public sector.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong negotiation skills, coupled with tact and diplomacy.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Other Requirements: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Salary: $75K (negotiable) plus commissions.
