Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team at Accoravillage. As a key member of our IT Operations Team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of IT solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and manage Oracle RDBMS software, including high availability solutions (RAC, Data Guard).
  • Database Security: Implement and enforce defined security models and database audit policies.
  • Backup and Recovery: Create and monitor RMAN backup/recovery strategies, and implement and test defined RMAN backup/recovery strategies.
  • Database Standards: Define and implement database standards, and implement and enforce database change control processes and procedures.
  • Technical Support: Provide second-line technical support for database-related issues, and provide technical support to application development teams.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree or a college diploma in Computer Science.
  • Experience: 4+ years experience with Database administration of major RDBMS, including at least 2+ years working in Oracle environments.
  • Skills: Sound knowledge of SQL and Oracle Enterprise Manager, sound knowledge of data warehouse concepts, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both oral and written.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge in MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL/MariaDB a plus, willingness to learn and work these platforms is a must.
