Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finisher to join our team at Rosendo Silva Barboza. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the field and demonstrate a strong ability to work with concrete surfaces.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in cement finishing.
Work Environment
  • Dusty and noisy conditions.
  • Work at heights, including scaffolding and swing stages.
  • Outdoor settings with wet or damp conditions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and eliminate imperfections on freshly poured concrete.
  • Utilize power vibrators for concrete compaction.
  • Ensure the top surface of concrete is leveled according to specifications.
  • Apply desired finishes to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
  • Guide and instruct apprentices in cement finishing techniques.
  • Apply hardening and sealing agents to cure surfaces effectively.
  • Repair and restore worn or damaged concrete structures.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications accurately.
Certifications
  • Cement Finisher Trade Certification is required.
Safety and Security
  • Must be bondable.
Transportation
  • Own transportation is necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads.
  • Must be comfortable bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
