Crane & Rigging Supervisor

Sterling Crane Canada is seeking a highly skilled Crane & Rigging Supervisor to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of crane operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Conduct operator competency reports and site observations to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Scale, size, and effectively bid jobs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and approve customer work methods to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Supervise on-site lifts to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Support dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient deployment of resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to promote sales and growth.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman with BC Certificate of Qualification and Red Seal Endorsement for mobile crane operation is preferred.
  • Previous supervision experience is considered an asset.
  • Candidates with experience in the construction market and/or crane industry will be given priority.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License; Class 1 Drivers License considered an asset.
  • Proven record of building relationships with customers and excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter able to work on their own, as well as in a team environment.
  • The successful candidate will be required to be in good standing with IUOE 115 or become member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 115.
