Claims Consultant, Intact Public Entities

As a Claims Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in predicting and protecting against standard and complex risks, delivering exceptional value-added services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide multiline claims expertise to improve company guidelines and programs, ensuring effective loss expense management and consistent application of claims settlement policies and procedures.
- Engage in special projects to examine the Claims function, developing innovative solutions to improve processes and personnel to better serve customers and meet company goals.
- Determine key measures to monitor service levels and effectiveness of Claims personnel, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Conduct periodic audits of claims files, reporting results to the management team and using findings to improve Claims functions.
- Lead the development of technical claims training programs, assessing needs, developing content, and making recommendations.
- Provide consultation on large and complicated claims files, offering technical guidance and advice to staff, assessing exposure, and facilitating Alternative Dispute Resolution as needed.
- Assist with the interpretation of case law, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- University degree or equivalent combination of training and experience relevant to the role.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in all lines, including casualty liability and property, with a strong background in claims management and coverage analysis.
- Litigation experience is an asset, as is technical expertise in claims management and extensive experience in quantum evaluation.
