Position Summary

As a Merchandising Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Supplier & Merchandising Operations Manager to achieve sales, profits, and customer acquisition goals across multiple product categories. This role involves coordinating and communicating with internal stakeholders regarding assortment, category, and merchandising discussions. You'll also collaborate with supplier management to cultivate best-in-class supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Grainger offers the most competitive product assortment for our customers at the best cost.
  • Implement assortment and merchandising changes within Grainger systems. Provide analytical support through data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Product Information team to ensure accurate and compelling product information is available to customers.
  • Work closely with Sales and Services teams to understand customer needs and market trends, informing merchandising strategies.
  • Analyze profitability of product lines using financial tools and contribute to cost management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, promoting Grainger's values and objectives.
