Senior Shoreline Management Engineer

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly skilled Senior Shoreline Management Engineer to provide geotechnical support and guidance for riverbank and shoreline works in the Province of Manitoba.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide geotechnical advice and support for riverbank and shoreline projects
- Chair and manage the Shoreline Erosion Technical Committee (SETC) to provide services province-wide
- Design and integrate multi-disciplinary technical inputs for projects requiring riverbank and shoreline erosion mitigation and/or stabilization
- Review applications for shoreline and riverbank developments and assess the geotechnical components
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM)
- Extensive experience in geotechnical modeling and analysis, erosion protection design, and riverbank stability works
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience with geographic information system (GIS) work and ArcView GIS
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, including material properties, groundwater conditions, and construction methodologies. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders.
