We are seeking an experienced Grades Person to join our Removals/Excavating Division.

This is a full-time seasonal position offering a competitive wage with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand grades and general survey, and possess the ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Assist operators with the monitoring of excavations and safely guide operators around utilities and other obstacles.
  • Provide accurate cut and fill directions when grading after removals.
  • The ability to read grade stakes, offsetting hubs, and taking measurements.
  • Must know how to differentiate grade markings and measuring points.
  • Set up of barricades and signs around excavations.
  • Ability to work long hours and overtime in a physically demanding work setting.
  • Assist in equipment pre/post trip inspections and general maintenance.

Successful candidates will thrive in a physically demanding, highly productive, and high-pressure environment.

They will also possess a valid driver's license and have a strong drive to contribute to the team's success by working with operators and other crew members to perform a wide range of duties.

Successful candidates will also be able to maintain a safety-minded and high accountability work culture while working with their direct supervisors, and other employees while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

  • Driving record free of major infractions.
