Dental Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Sorriso Dental Clinic. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
- Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and organized environment.
- Administrative Support: Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory, including record-keeping and data entry.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, promoting healthy habits and a positive experience.
- Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
- Record-Keeping: Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Financial Transactions: Invoice patients for dental services, handling financial transactions with professionalism and discretion.
- Recruitment: Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, providing a supportive environment for their integration.
- Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, facilitating their transition into the workforce.
- Mentorship: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, promoting cultural understanding and professional growth.
- Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Employment Opportunities: Does not require Canadian work experience, offering equal opportunities for all candidates.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting professional development and cultural understanding.
- Community Engagement: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Cultural Awareness: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Elder Support: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers, promoting cultural understanding and well-being.
- Hiring Practices: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, promoting a fair and inclusive recruitment process.
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees, promoting cultural understanding and professional growth.
- Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
