About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Team Lead to join our team at Chens Convenience and Cigar Store. As a Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and managing the day-to-day operations of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train sales staff, including apprentices and design team members, to ensure they are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign sales workers to duties, including sales floor coverage, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Manage Store Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including ordering merchandise, authorizing payments, and resolving customer complaints.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
  • Manage Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and managing stock levels.
  • Supervise Office and Volunteer Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of office and volunteer staff, including scheduling and training.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or sales environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, flexible, organized, reliable, and a team player.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Retail business, wholesale establishment/store, or willing to relocate.
  • Hours of Work: 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
