Position Overview

Next Power Inc. is seeking a dedicated Survey Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the successful execution of projects in the engineering and construction sectors.

Employment Details

Educational Requirements
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform economic evaluations and feasibility assessments
  • Design and implement strategies for the remediation of contaminated sites
  • Plan and oversee highway and roadway development projects
  • Serve as the project or site lead for surveying and construction activities
  • Conduct site inspections to collect pertinent data
  • Analyze survey and field data to produce topographic, soil, and hydrological reports
  • Create construction specifications and operational procedures
  • Ensure compliance of construction plans with applicable building codes and regulations
  • Establish and track project timelines
  • Assess and recommend suitable construction materials
  • Review and approve civil design and survey work
  • Supervise and mentor technicians and junior engineers, reviewing designs and cost estimates
Professional Credentials
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) with a provincial or territorial association
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience
