About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Child Care Provider to join our team at Victor Olarewaju. As a key member of our family support services, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care and attention to children in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Assume full responsibility for household management in the absence of parents
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
    • Shop for food and household supplies to ensure a well-stocked pantry and fridge
    • Travel with families on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
  • Personal Care and Hygiene
    • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met
    • Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents, promoting positive behavior and development
    • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, teaching essential life skills
  • Health and Safety
    • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Organize activities such as games and outings for children, promoting socialization and fun
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring children receive a balanced diet
    • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, establishing a soothing and calming environment
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Supervise and care for children, providing emotional support and guidance
    • Take children to and from school and to appointments, ensuring timely and safe transportation
    • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment
    • Help children with homework, promoting academic success and development
    • Cook and prepare meals for families, ensuring a delicious and satisfying dining experience
    • Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
    • Launder clothing and household linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
    • Feed or assist in feeding children, ensuring their nutritional needs are met
    • Demonstrate infant care to new parents, providing guidance and support
    • Administer medications, following all relevant protocols and procedures
    Requirements
    • CPR Certificate
    • First Aid Certificate
    • Criminal record check
    • Health care plan
    • Work Term: Permanent
    • Work Language: English
    • Hours: 40 hours per week
