Key Responsibilities- Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans and waste containers to prevent litter and maintain a clean atmosphere.
- Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs on heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
- Contractor Coordination: Contact contractors for major repairs to ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues.
- Moving and Handling: Move heavy furniture and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance and integrity of our building.
- Sanitation and Hygiene: Ensure the cleanliness of bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Winter Maintenance: Handle snow and ice removal to ensure safe access to our building.
- Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Student Status: Not be in student status to ensure full-time commitment.
- Work Eligibility: Be eligible to work in Canada to meet our employment requirements.
- Previous Experience: Have previous experience in facilities maintenance to ensure a smooth transition.
- Work Schedule: Work a permanent position with 32 to 40 hours per week to ensure consistent coverage.
- Language: Work in English to communicate effectively with our team.
