About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our Data Platform team at Abnormal Security Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and operating our cloud-based data platform, empowering our internal engineering customers and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and efficient data processing systems for real-time and offline processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data platform features and capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal engineering teams in their use of the data systems.
  • Optimize data center capacity by developing cutting-edge analytics software solutions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a backend software developer.
  • Strong foundation as a software engineer, able to write clean and testable code.
  • Experience in building and operating distributed systems in a high-scale environment.
  • Experience with Abnormal Security's tech stack: Python, Golang, Django, Celery, Postgresql, Redis, Kafka, OpenSearch, AWS / Azure, Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Platform / DevEx / Infra team serving the needs of multiple engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated excellence in at least one key area of the Data Platform tech stack - relational DBs, RocksDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, Kafka, Spark.
