Senior Instrumentation Controls Engineer

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver, BC.

  • **Education:** Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in automation and control systems.
  • **Professional Certification:** Must be a Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia or able to register as one within approximately 3 months of hire.
  • **Experience:** Minimum of 12 years of experience in supporting I&C engineering consulting projects for mining, metallurgical, or similar process industries.
  • **Technical Skills:** Knowledge of CSA, ISA, and IEEE standards, including the Canadian Electrical Code, and ability to apply them to designs.
  • **Software Proficiency:** Everyday use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • **Industry Knowledge:** Experience with mining and mineral processing facilities design.
  • **Site Experience:** Pre-commissioning and startup experience.
  • **Database Experience:** Familiarity with AVEVA Instrumentation is considered an asset.
  • **Teamwork and Leadership:** Ability to work as a team player and take responsibility as a lead discipline engineer.
  • **Work Authorization:** Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.
  • **Work Arrangement:** Ability to work from the office 2-3 days a week as a lead discipline engineer.
