Job Summary

The Avon Maitland District School Board is seeking a qualified Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with cleaning equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
