Job Title: Business Analyst

Foiclon is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing business needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct business analysis to identify business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business analysis policies, processes, and standards.
  • Lead and conduct business analysis to assess business problems/opportunities and document business requirements.
  • Apply reengineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
  • Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies for business IT initiatives.
  • Develop sound processes for requirements gathering, including JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, etc.
  • Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
  • Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report regularly to IT management and stakeholders.
  • Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conduct follow-up.
Requirements:
  • 10 years of extensive experience in business analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing detailed analysis and recommendations to ensure compliance with appropriate public sector industry and international standards on security, privacy, and accessibility.
  • Checkpoints, TRA, PIA, Component architecture, Design patterns.
  • Thorough experience with Logical and Physical Architecture artifacts.
  • Knowledge and experience creating Wireframes, Use Cases, and User Stories.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in creating enterprise architecture documentation and expert-level experience in architectural deliverables.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in the use of information retrieval packages.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions.
  • Experience with a wide range of methods, tools, and techniques for business analysis, such as business functional modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping.
  • Experience in structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies for user requirements.
  • Experience developing performance measures for business analysis evaluation and subsequent follow-up.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
