About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Our Hamlet Childcare. As an integral part of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and care of our young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
    • Engage children in activities that foster learning and development, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Child Care and Hygiene
    • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
    • Maintain a clean and safe environment for children, including the daycare equipment.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
    • Attend staff meetings to stay informed about children's progress and team initiatives.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Basic security clearance and a criminal record check.
