In this role, under general supervision, the Quality Assurance Analyst executes established protocols to ensure that programs and projects align with minimum company standards and meet end-user requirements. The incumbent conducts comprehensive quality assurance evaluations on applications of varying complexity to ensure optimal functionality and defect-free performance. As a mid-level position within the Quality Assurance job stream, the Quality Assurance Analyst is adept at handling most facets of quality assurance testing but may require guidance in certain areas.

How You Will Create Impact:

  • Develop testing strategies for small to medium-sized projects.
  • Contribute to the formulation of testing strategies for larger initiatives.
  • Plan and execute system testing in accordance with established protocols.
  • Oversee and resolve issues encountered during testing for small to medium projects, collaborating with developers and analysts.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test case documentation, noting any issues identified during testing.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of testing documentation for small to medium projects.
  • Analyze testing workflows and recommend enhancements to improve quality.

To Join Our Team:

  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in understanding business processes and their translation into systems applications.
  • Familiarity with insurance principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use and understanding of testing tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance sector, particularly with the Guidewire suite of applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter), is advantageous.
  • Prior quality assurance experience with web applications, including knowledge of WCAG standards, is beneficial.

  • A rotational on-call schedule may be necessary, with potential shifts during evenings and weekends.
  • Extended work hours, including weekends, may be required during peak periods.
  • A Criminal Record and Consumer History background check will be conducted as a condition of employment for successful candidates.
  • A solid understanding of technical concepts, applications, programming tools, operating systems, and interfaces is essential.
