Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Applecross Animal Hospital. As a successful candidate, you will have a strong understanding of animal behavior and health, as well as excellent communication skills to build relationships with pet owners and our support team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical care to animals, including soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional advice.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote team-based medicine practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and pet owners to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest animal health advancements.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements:

  • A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada.
  • Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice.
  • Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet owners, and community.
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey.
  • An interest in attending conferences and networking with colleagues.
  • A love for all companion animals.
