Animal Health Care Specialist, DVM, Veterinary Professional

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our team at Applecross Animal Hospital. As a successful candidate, you will have a strong understanding of animal behavior and health, as well as excellent communication skills to build relationships with pet owners and our support team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care to animals, including soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional advice.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to promote team-based medicine practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues and pet owners to provide exceptional patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest animal health advancements.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements:
- A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada.
- Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice.
- Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet owners, and community.
- A passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey.
- An interest in attending conferences and networking with colleagues.
- A love for all companion animals.
