We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Finishing Specialist to join our team at Giorgi Bros (1994) Inc.. This role involves working in various locations and requires a strong commitment to quality and precision in concrete finishing.
Education Requirements- Completion of a secondary (high) school graduation certificate is mandatory.
The position entails working in diverse settings, often on the road, ensuring adaptability and readiness for various job sites.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials.
- Oversee the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces, adhering to specified grades.
- Address imperfections on freshly poured concrete by filling hollows and removing spots.
- Utilize power vibrators to effectively compact concrete.
- Ensure the top surface of concrete is leveled according to grade and depth specifications.
- Apply desired finishes to concrete surfaces using both hand and power tools.
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other necessary fixtures.
- Apply hardening and sealing agents to cure surfaces appropriately.
- Conduct waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoration of surfaces.
- Repair, resurface, and replace any worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel regularly.
Experience LevelCandidates should have between 1 to 7 months of relevant experience in concrete finishing.
Work ScheduleThis is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The role requires proficiency in either English or French.
