Our North American Corporates Group is seeking a Director for coverage of the Utilities and Midstream sector. This role offers an opportunity to be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency within a team-oriented work environment.
Your Responsibilities- Perform in-depth analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Utilities and Midstream sectors.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to assess credit risk.
- Conduct meetings with management teams from Retail & Consumer industry companies to gather information and insights.
- Present your analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees, providing clear and concise recommendations.
- Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (primarily institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and media) through reports and presentations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Fitch Solutions' research and analytical capabilities within the Utilities and Midstream sectors.
- Proven experience in credit analysis, ideally within the Utilities or Midstream industries.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a deep understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
