Position Overview

The Culinary Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of food service within our establishment. This position requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
Work Environment
  • Located in a dynamic food service establishment, including fine dining settings.
  • Relocation costs may be covered by the employer for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
  • Prepare and submit relevant reports as required.
  • Supervise the assembly of food trays to ensure quality presentation.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role involves supervising a team of 11-15 individuals, including:

  • Cooks (general)
  • Food and beverage servers
  • Food service counter attendants and food preparers
  • Kitchen and food service helpers
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure.
  • Standing for extended periods is necessary.
